This Learners Code of Conduct was last updated on October 1, 2025.
1. Purpose
Bridge to University is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging online learning environment. This Learner Code of Conduct defines the behavioral standards expected from all learners to maintain academic integrity, mutual respect, and a productive learning culture.
2. Core Principles
All learners are expected to:
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and responsibility in all academic activities.
- Treat fellow learners, instructors, and staff with respect and professionalism.
- Engage actively and positively in discussions, assignments, and assessments.
- Respect the privacy and diversity of others. • Follow the terms of use, privacy policy, and academic integrity policy.
3. Respectful Communication
Learners must:
- Use appropriate and respectful language in all forums, chats, or emails.
- Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or abusive comments.
- Be constructive when offering feedback to peers.
- Never engage in harassment, bullying, hate speech, or personal attacks.
Bridge to University has zero tolerance for harassment of any kind — whether verbal, written, or visual.
4. Digital Etiquette
- Keep your microphone muted unless invited to speak during live sessions.
- Avoid disruptive background noise or distractions.
- Use your real name and profile photo that reflects professionalism.
- Do not record or share live sessions or course content without permission.
- Avoid spamming, advertising, or sharing irrelevant links.
5. Academic Conduct
- Complete your own assignments and assessments honestly.
- Do not share or sell course content, test questions, or materials.
- Properly cite sources and give credit where due.
- Report any technical or ethical issues to the academic support team promptly.
6. Confidentiality & Privacy
Learners must respect the confidentiality of peers and instructors, including personal information shared in classes, discussion boards, or group activities.
7. Misconduct and Consequences
Violations of this Code may lead to:
- Written warning
- Temporary suspension from course access
- Revocation of certificates or academic credits
- Permanent account termination
- Referral to legal authorities (in severe or criminal cases)
8. Appeals
Learners may appeal disciplinary actions within 7 days by writing to: 📧 conduct@bridgetouniversity.com
Each appeal will be reviewed fairly by the Learner Conduct Committee.
9. Policy Updates
This Code may be updated periodically to reflect new digital learning standards or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on our website.
