Instructors must:
- Protect learner personal data in compliance with the Bridge to University Privacy Policy and GDPR principles.
- Never disclose learner information to unauthorized persons or external entities.
- Secure all digital files, communications, and recorded sessions against misuse.
5. Academic Integrity
Instructors are responsible for:
- Detecting and reporting plagiarism, impersonation, or cheating.
- Using plagiarism detection tools where applicable.
- Upholding the same ethical standards they expect from learners.
6. Use of Digital Resources
- All digital materials (slides, videos, notes) must comply with copyright and open educational resource (OER) standards.
- Unauthorized distribution of internal course content is strictly prohibited.
- Instructors should ensure that any third-party materials used are properly licensed or cited.
7. Interaction and Feedback
- Maintain professional distance and decorum in all communications.
- Avoid favoritism or biased treatment of learners.
- Report any harassment or misconduct observed during classes to the Academic Affairs Office immediately.
8. Conflict of Interest
Instructors must disclose any potential conflicts such as:
- Dual employment with a competing institution.
- Private tutoring relationships with current learners.
- Financial or personal interests that could affect impartiality.
9. Violations and Disciplinary Measures
Violations may result in:
- Written warning or probation
- Suspension from teaching duties
- Termination of contract
- Legal action in cases of gross misconduct or data breach All investigations will be confidential and handled by the relevant forums.
10. Policy Acknowledgment
All instructors must acknowledge and sign this policy before commencing teaching activities on Bridge to University’s platform.
